Columbus, OH
Central Ohio JPMorgan Chase has over 15,000 employees – making it a community all by itself. With multiple sites across the Columbus area, it's a diverse group of professionals from across the business and across technology. The McCoy building is equal in footage to the Empire State Building, the largest JPMorgan Chase building in the world and home to a trading floor, ATM lab, infrastructure operations center – and technology functions that support not just Columbus, but the wider global business.
All of the roles available are here, with projects ranging from communications systems and networks to data centers and mainframe engineering. In any given month, the mainframe supported from here processes 7 billion business transactions and 260 million database DB2 calls, making technology a pillar of trading for us. Our work allows JPMorgan Chase to make information useful, supporting complex and high-scale operations.
Columbus is the state capital, with a community of a million people. The area offers an annual art show, symphonies, jazz bands, a hockey team, minor league baseball, and of course, Ohio State football. The business itself is just as varied, meaning that technologists can move across functions and progress their careers as they gain a broad perspective of the firm. As a part of our supportive team environment, we align technology mentors to new recruits, to guide them as they launch and develop their careers.
We are a community-minded organization committed to volunteer work. For example, we are currently building two houses for Habitat for Humanity with funding from JPMorgan Chase and the generous involvement of hands-on volunteers from our team. We believe in development and growth, both professionally and personally – and we function very much as a responsible member of our local community, bringing the perspective of a diverse global business.
